Our Story

At Amp'd Rentals, we power the local film industry in St. John's, NL, from the ground to the sky.

Founded by Matthew Saunders and Matthew Corbett, Amp'd Rentals brings a combined 30 years of experience as Red Seal Electricians and over 20 years of hands-on work on local film sets. We understand the rigorous, fast-paced demands of production because we have spent decades working right alongside you in the Atlantic Canadian film community.

Built on Sustainability

We originally launched our business with a core focus on green energy, offering heavy-duty battery generators to provide quiet, emission-free power for local sets. As the technical needs of our community grew, so did we. Today, we have expanded our inventory supplying industry-standard production radios and cinematic drones.
